REBECCA'S STORY

I have had an on/off relationship with health and fitness over the years. I was very active in my youth but as life become more complicated with university, working as a nurse, having an menagerie of animals (which I will tell you more about another time) and eventually starting a family, fitness and my health in general was put on a back burn, which in turn caused my depression and anxiety to return.

This all changed when I had my son and I realised I had to be a role model for him and also wanted to be fit enough to keep up with him. Since then I have fallen back in love with fitness especially Muay Thai, strength and conditioning training and running. Although life is still crazy busy I have managed to maintain a healthy lifestyle alongside my work and family commitments.

Knowing how good being fit and healthy makes me feel and how it has massively helped my mental health, I decided to become a MyFit30 coach so that I could share my passion and help other women like myself start on their fitness journey.

I love how working out makes me feel, the rush of endorphins I get when I have finished a workout is an amazing feeling and I love the confidence I have gained as well as watching my body get leaner and stronger. I never thought feeling strong would be so incredible and have such a huge impact on my mental health.
